Dear colleagues,

We cordially invite you to participate in the III International Conference «Radioactivity and radioactive elements in human environment» to be held on June 23-27, 2009. The Conference will be organized by Tomsk Polytechnic University together with other partner organizations and held on the 100th anniversary of regular research in radioactivity in Russia.

The following topics will be covered at the Conference:

Radioactive elements of natural and man-made origin, problems of continuous and global radionuclides; use of radioactive elements as indicators of natural and anthropogenic processes as well as for prediction of minerals; mineral resources in the development of nuclear engineering.
Conditions, problems and prospects; means and methods of radioactive element detection and radioecological parameters determination (estimation of accumulation levels, body burdens including biodosimetry); radioecological problems in operation of mining and refinery enterprises of nuclear-fuel cycle; problems of radioecological monitoring; radioactive wastes and safety problems of storage and recycling.
Uranium deposits as a natural analogue to ONT; risk assessment; social-ecological, economical and legal aspects of nuclear engineering development; society and radiation, recognition and concern, problems of training specialists for mineral-resources complex in nuclear engineering.
