Technetium-99m generator layout

Description

Every year around 17 mln examinations take place making use of ^99mТс. ^99mТс-based radiopharmaceuticals are used in more than 90% examinations in the sphere of nuclear medicine.

A waste-free technology of ^99mТс generator manufacturing is based on neutron activation of enriched ⁹⁸Mo.

The life-span for ^99mТс is 6 hours. Output is 1000-1500 gen./year.

Development stage

Generators of ^99mТс are supplied to 14 Ural and Siberian cities satisfying the requirements of the regions. Shipment of ^99mТс generators to China and Mongolia is possible as well.
