Residence Halls

The TPU campus includes 15 residence halls with more than 6,000 students.

Our residence halls are secure.

Some important facts:

  • There is a security system and a professional security guard in the residence halls.

  • Residence halls are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  • Residents can host guests from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

There is either Wi-Fi or wired Internet service on campus. TPU has two paid laundries on its territory. Room renovations are carried out before the first-year students move in.

There is a bed, a desk, a kitchen table, a wardrobe, a cupboard for dishes, a food cabinet, a cabinet case, a shoe rack, a bedside cabinet, a chair, or a stool in each room.

Residence Hall No. 1

45 Lenina Avenue

The residence hall has 161 rooms for 361 people. This is the corridor-type residence hall. There are rooms for one, two, or three people. The residence hall has a gym, an assembly hall, three study rooms, an aerobics hall, and a tennis hall. The residence hall is the base for students from the School of Non-Destructive Testing.

Residence Hall No. 2

4 Kirova Avenue

The residence hall has 125 rooms for 285 people. This is the corridor-type residence hall. There are rooms for one, two, or three people. The residence hall has a gym, a shaping room, and a tennis room. Yoga and stretching classes are held twice a week in the shaping room. There is the Skazka Club for dormitory events. The residence hall is the base for students from the School of Energy & Power Engineering.

Residence Hall No. 5

18 Pirogova Street

The residence hall has 160 rooms for 484 people. This is the corridor-type residence hall. There are rooms for one, two, or three people. The residence hall has a gym, an assembly hall, and a study room. There is also a tennis club, a gym club, and a dance club. The residence hall is the base for students from the School of Earth Sciences & Engineering.

Residence Hall No. 6

18a Pirogova Street

The residence hall has 102 rooms for 198 people. This is the corridor-type residence hall. There are rooms for two people. The residence hall has a gym, an assembly hall, and a study room. This residence hall is mixed. The winners of the Olympiads settle here.

The residence hall was reopened after a major renovation in August 2017. There are showers and kitchens on each floor. On the first floor, there are six rooms for students with limited mobility. Each room is designed for one student (18 sq. m.). These rooms are equipped with specialized furniture, adjustable to the needs of residents. The corridors on the first floor have special markings for visually impaired students. The entrance group is equipped with a ramp. All bathrooms (for individual use) are located on the first floor, in compliance with all safety parameters and requirements.

The residence hall is connected by a passage with a 17-storey residence hall on 15B Usova Street.

Residence Hall No. 7

13A Usova Street

The residence hall has 77 rooms for 196 people. This is the corridor-type residence hall. There are rooms for one, two, or three people. The residence hall has a gym, an assembly hall, and a study room. There is also a tennis club, a gym club, and a dance club. 

The following clubs and spaces are open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.:

  • the Street Fighter athletic club;

  • the Creative Workshop club, which gathers a KVN team and activists to prepare events;

  • the Youth Club, which hosts meetings and rehearsals of dance teams;

  • the Golden Racket tennis hall;

  • the Grace Club for shaping and dancing;

  • a training room to prepare for classes.

At the request of the students, a group organizing board games gathers. 

The residence hall is the base for students from the School of Engineering Entrepreneurship.

Residence Hall No. 10

31 Vershinina Street

The residence hall has 144 rooms for 365 beds. This is the corridor-type residence hall. There are rooms for two or three people. There is a classroom, a gym, a tennis club, and an assembly hall. The residence hall is the base for students from the School of Energy & Power Engineering.

    Residence Hall No. 11

    33 Vershinina Street

    The residence hall has 152 rooms for 356 people. This is the corridor-type residence hall. There are rooms for two or three people. There is a gym, an assembly hall, and two study rooms. The residence hall is the base for students from the School of Non-Destructive Testing.

    Residence Hall No. 12

    37 Vershinina Street

    The residence hall has 168 rooms for 392 people. This is the sectional-type residence hall. There are rooms for two or three people, which are located in 84 sections. Five people live in the section; one room is a double and the other is a triple. There is a fridge in the room. The residence hall has a gym, an assembly hall, and a study room. There is also a tennis club, a gym club, and a dance club. This is the mixed-type residence hall. Students of different engineering schools settle here.

    Residence Hall No. 13

    39 Vershinina Street

    The residence hall has 144 rooms for 498 people. This is the corridor-type residence hall. There are rooms for two or three people. The residence hall has a gym, an assembly hall, a training room, a tennis hall, and a dance hall. The residence hall is the base for students from the School of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies.

    Residence Hall No. 14

    39A Vershinina Street

    The residence hall has 161 rooms for 509 people. This is the corridor-type residence hall. There are rooms for two or three people. The residence hall has a gym, an assembly hall, and a study room. The following clubs and spaces are at the residence hall: the Alliance athletic club, the Master tennis club, the Monolith and Grace club (aerobics and dancing), a theater group, and the Vacation sports club (now this club is under reconstruction). The residence hall is the base for students from the School of Computer Science & Robotics.

    Residence Hall No. 15

    8 Arcadia Ivanova Street

    The residence hall has 116 rooms for 172 people. This is the sectional-type residence hall. Residential sections consist of two living rooms, each equipped with a separate bathroom and shower.

    The improved sections are designed for three people. The living rooms are equipped with standard furniture and household appliances (a fridge, a kettle, and a microwave).

    The standard sections are designed for five people. These sections are equipped with standard furniture and a fridge. The residence hall is the base for students arriving under the academic exchange program.

    Residence Hall No. 16

    46 Vershinina Street

    The residence hall has 309 rooms for 612 people. This is the corridor-type residence hall. There are rooms for one, two, or three people. The residence hall has a gym, an assembly hall, and three study rooms. The following clubs and spaces are at the residence hall: a historical club (this club is open on Thursdays), a yoga and stretching club (this club is open twice a week), a table tennis club (this club is open every day), a gym (you can visit the gym every day), the English discussion club (this club is open on Saturdays), and a chess club. This is the mixed-type residence hall. Students from different engineering schools live here.

    Residence Hall No. 17

    48 Vershinina Street

    The residence hall has 317 rooms for 660 people. This is the corridor-type residence hall. There are rooms for one, two, or three people. The residence hall has a gym, an assembly hall, and two study rooms. There is also the Tibul Sports Club. The residence hall is the base for the School of Nuclear Science & Engineering.

    Residence Hall No. 18

    15B Usova Street

    The residence hall has 254 rooms for 719 people. This is the sectional-type residence hall. It was put into operation in December 2015. The residential section is equipped with a separate sanitary unit, a shower room, and a kitchen; additionally, there is new furniture. The section is designed to accommodate six people.

    On the first floor, in a separate sectional block, there are two rooms for students with limited mobility. Each room is designed for one student.

    The section is equipped with a sanitary unit, a kitchen, and a shower room in compliance with all parameters and safety requirements. The furniture in the rooms is all specialized and can be adjusted to meet the needs of the residents. The hostel also has elevators that allow students with limited mobility to easily reach the sports, social, and cultural centers located on different floors of the residence hall.

    This is the mixed-type residence hall. Undergraduates and graduate students of all engineering schools settle here.

    Residence Hall No. 19

    21/2 Usova Street

    The residence hall has 203 rooms for 318 people. This is the sectional-type residence hall. There are rooms for two or three people. The residence hall has a gym, an assembly hall, and two study rooms on each floor. This is the mixed-type residence hall. Undergraduates and international students from the preparatory department settle here.

    The list of documents for the students' and PhD students' settlement:

    • Visa and migration card (for foreign citizens);

    • medical certificates (fluorography, therapist certificate);

    • move-in order;

    • 2 photographs (3*4 cm in size);

    • registration (after check-in).
